NEXEDGE Wireless Image System
Kenwood announces the launch of the first Kenwood and JVC joint development project – the KVT-11 Image Encoder and KAS-11 Image Viewer for the remote acquisition of still images from surveillance cameras using the NEXEDGE Digital two-way radio system and JVC cameras.
The new products are in step with Kenwood’s “green” ecological initiative of environmental responsibility in product design, production and procurement.
The system enables the user to watch several remote places or objects via a two way radio system from a control room (base station).
The KAS-11 image viewer requests the still image from the Monitor Station via a NEXEDGE digital radio system. The KVT-11 captures an image from the CCTV camera with NTSC/PAL video input, compresses the original image into an small still image and send it to the base station via NEXEDGE radio system. The KAS-11 Image Viewer software decompresses the image and displays the caputured still image on the PC screen.
