NEW FROM ICOM – The TRP Transportable Repeater Series
The new repeater provides temporary repeater coverage between Icom’s mobile and portable radio equipment in both analogue and IDAS digital mode. The unit is simple to operate and quick to set up. It is supplied in a robust ABS portable carry case and is fully self contained with duplexer, mains power supply and battery backup facility. The repeater measures only 56(w) x 26(h) x 58(d) cm and weighs only 20kg, so it can literally be picked up and deployed anywhere, anytime.

Kenwood’s new TK-2312E/3312E Portable Radios
Kenwood is introducing the new TK-x312 Series portable radios into EU countries. Their range of expanded features builds on the success of the previous TK-x212 Series portable radios. With 128 channels, an LCD display and new features, the TK-2312E/3312E VHF/UHF analogue portable radios are the ideal next generation solution for your installed base of enterprise and industrial customers, who demand voice and simple data applications.
All TK-x312 Series accessories are compatible with current TK-x306/x307/x212/x212 Series radios. Orders are being accepted with initial shipments scheduled for the end of April.

Kenwood’s New KPG-150AP Management Software for NEXEDGE
The KPG-150AP; Over-the-Air Programming (OTAP) is Management Software for NEXEDGE. The software allows FPU setting of the radios over the air. It is ideal for customers who have a lot of NEXEDGE subscribers and intended to actively promote efficiency in reconfiguration.

NB: The KPG-150AP will work with the NEXEDGE series from a specific serial number. If your subscriber units are ealier than specified, they need to be reflashed with the newest firmware to update them to use this function.

We have examined very closely our reseller and dealer networks and have taken into careful consideration the current and future requirements from PMR manufacturers. The results of our review showed that for Tait to be able to continue to provide the best levels of service the appointment of a UK distributor was the best option”.

Airsys Drive to Digital Campaign
We finally took delivery of the Airsys Demonstration Vehicle at the end of May 2010. The arrival of this vital piece of equipment has been hotly anticipated by the whole team here at Airsys, but in particular by our Technical Services Manager, Steve Heard, and his engineering team who had a major hand in the design and build of the vehicle from day one.
So far the vehicle has been used for:
- Numerous dealer visits for sales and technical training, covering over 8000 miles in 3 months (at less than 57mph!!)
- Two successful exhibitions where the vehicle was static for 4 days at a time and used as a exhibition centre come base for the Dealer concerned
- A Dealer visit to a Council where the Facilities Manager, IT Manager, Human Resources Manager and of course Communications Manager were presented to jointly and then on an individual basis on the same day

We are delighted to announce that Paula Cooper, our Sales Manager with over 22 years service in the business, gave birth in early December to a beautiful baby girl – Nicola Louise Cooper.

This product will work together with some Mobile and Dect phones that are on the market there are also some Tetra radios and PDA that will work together with this headset. Airsys announces formal Distribution agreement with ZETRON – May 2007
Andy Wilson announced today that the contract has been signed, and that Airsys is now the official distributor to the trade for Zetron. “We are delighted to be opening this segment of the market up to the wider dealer channel. With the price of Two Way Radio coming down mostly due to cheap, low quality entrants to the market, Airsys is pursuing a policy of assisting the professional dealerships we serve to upgrade customers to a more systems based comms facility. Zetron was ultimately the only partner we felt we could rely on to provide the standard of product and technical support to facilitate this”.
Zetron equipment will be available to purchase from Airsys from mid June 2007. Ask your account manager for details.

In an effort to open up new revenue streams to Two Way Radio dealers, Airsys has formally entered into an agreement with Peltor to distribute and aggressively grow business in the Communications Market. Peltor is a world leader in the field of communication equipment and head and face protectors, with over 50 years of developing and manufacturing hearing protectors.
