  • download-(1).pngAt Airsys, we are thrilled to announce our nomination for the Tech Employer of the Year award and our selection as a finalist at the South Coast Tech Awards 2023. These awards, hosted and organized by The Business Magazine, is the leading event in the region's technology industry calendar. It celebrates the best in Technology and the people behind the business in the Solent and South Coast.

We are passionate about our mission to provide Group Communications as a Service (GCaaS) to our valued customers through relentless innovation and dedicated team who consistently deliver exceptional work, day in and day out.

Our team members are the cornerstone of everything we do, and we have worked thoroughly to create an extraordinary work environment. We hold firm to the belief that our core values of 'People at Heart' and a 'Fun Loving Attitude' underpin our success. We take immense pride in offering our employees the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our mission.

Diversity and inclusivity are paramount within our organization. Our management teams reflect this commitment with a composition of 37% female representation, and at the director level, we maintain a balanced 50/50 gender ratio.

office-last-pic.pngFurthermore, we remain unwavering in our commitment to our team's career growth and professional development. We offer on-the-job training, success academy programs, and on-going educational opportunities to ensure our team members can continually expand their skills and capabilities.

At Airsys, there is always room to acquire new skills and advance one's career, whether through transitioning into a new role or gaining additional expertise in a current position. Our dedication to career development is exemplified by the establishment of the Customer Success Academy, which focuses on personal growth and staff retention within the Customer Service Team. This initiative has not only boosted employee retention and reduced turnover it has also facilitated recruitment, giving staff in this area of the business a clear progression plan.

We take great pride in offering competitive compensation and benefits packages to our team members, as well as a fun and supportive work environment. Over the past year, we have introduced a range of employee-centric initiatives under the leadership of our People and Facilities Manager, Cat Wilson. These initiatives include 'Pirkx,' an employee platform offering a wealth of benefits, including physical and mental health support, wealth management resources, staff recognition programs, private health, and educational materials. Additionally, we have restructured our bonus scheme to align it more closely with company objectives and individual performance achievements.

The well-being of our staff, both physical and mental, is extremely importance to us. We have trained First Aiders on hand, and we are proud to have two Mental Health First Aiders, as well as a fun and supportive work environment.

Races.jpgAt Airsys, we believe in celebrating our successes as a company. To mark the achievement of company KPIs, we reward our team with memorable experiences such as trips to Henley Regatta and Royal Ascot. For those with a surplus of energy, last autumn we organised a team entry into an inflatable 5k run, fostering team cohesion and camaraderie among participants.

In addition to these grand gestures, we regularly demonstrate our appreciation for our employees through small but meaningful acts, such as providing pancakes on Pancake Day, visits from the Easter Bunny, Christmas raffles, pizza days, and more.

We are also deeply committed to giving back to the community. We frequently organise charity fundraising events, with recent examples including Red Nose Day and Wear it Pink Day. Our team wholeheartedly participates, dressing up and engaging in team games and quizzes. To underline our commitment to charitable causes, we match all employee-led charity fundraising efforts.

Our overarching aim is to ensure that our staff members fully comprehend our business objectives and their role in achieving them. This approach has created clarity regarding performance expectations across the organization. By investing in the personal and professional development of our team members, we have embraced an innovative training methodology called 'The Success Cube,' delivered by Mike Colley of Future Relevance. This approach empowers individuals to identify and enhance three critical areas for success: Skills, Work Rate, and Attitude.

These initiatives have collectively cultivated a positive and empowering work environment at Airsys. Our employees feel not only valued but also supported in their growth and development.

The Tech Employer of the Year award recognises a technology company that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to its employees' growth, development, and well-being. Nominees should have a proven track record of providing a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Judges will consider factors such as employee satisfaction, benefits and perks, professional development opportunities, diversity and inclusion efforts, and impact on the industry. The winner of this award should be a company that has shown a commitment to its employees and has the ability to attract and retain top talent in the industry.

Good luck to all the finalists in this award!
