Sales Apprentice, Internal Account Manager, Dealer Account Manager, Channel Account Manager and finally Sales Manager.

Why did you decide to change your role within the buisness?


This is the natural Sales progression path and where I see my career long-term. I have worked closely with the Sales Management team throughout my time at Airsys and they have taught me everything I need to know the further my career at Airsys. 



 

tactical.jpgHow did you go about progressing into your current role- was it easy? 

Focusing on my customers and their experience dealing with Airsys has led me to the point I am at now. I never really thought about how my career would plan out, I just focused on the task at hand, delivered sales and built on my customer base, and the rest fell into place. Airsys has always treated me well. As long as I hit my target, fulfil my duties, I feel as if I always get rewarded, and this has allowed me to progress into many different roles snce my time started just over 7 years ago. 

 

  
 marine.jpgWere you supported in your career progression journey? For example, was there training in place to accommodate you in your new role?  

 
  •  For the first year I had plenty of training, not just through the apprenticeship scheme, but from Airsys as a company. They allowed me to work in different departments for a short period of time which opened my eyes to the daily struggles other departments have to overcome. This also allowed me to help out where possible in the future. Product training has also been regular, or whenever I ask and for the first year I always had team members on hand to help with questions. 
     

 

aviation.jpg Do you see yourself progressing any further/ changing roles within the business in the future?

I see my future at Airsys, at least until there is no further progression. Airsys is a fantastic place to work in you're willing to push yourself and understand the products. I am currently moving from Channel Account Manager to Sales Manager, therefore this is giving me a fresh challenge and something I am really enjoying. I don't see myself ever wanting to leave!
