The CXL 2-1LW/… is a versatile, omnidirectional rod-type base station and marine antenna with 0 dBd gain, covering the 160 MHz band in three models with a 10 MHz overlap. Designed for a wide range of applications, its broad-banded ½ λ dipole element is enclosed in a high-quality conical fiberglass tube, ensuring durability and minimal wind resistance, even in corrosive environments. It features a robust “LW” mast mount, a lightweight, epoxy-coated, non-corrosive aluminum bracket, with stainless steel U-bolts and fittings for secure installation. The antenna can be mounted on vertical or horizontal mast tubes with diameters ranging from 16 to 54 mm, with the cable routed externally or internally through the mast tube. Offering excellent bandwidth in terms of both VSWR and gain, it is DC-grounded to minimize noise from atmospheric discharges, creating a DC-short across the coaxial cable.
